Jake and Jessie Taylor Selected for Team Great Britain

Ice hockey and roller hockey is our passion and we play and train a minimum of five times a week, and we travel around the country for games and training. We currently play for the Bourne End Buffaloes (U13 and U17) in the BRHA League, Farnborough Arrows (U12 and U14) in the BIPHA League, and we have been selected to represent the South of England in the Superleague this Easter in Rotherham. We also play ice hockey (U13 and U15) in Bracknell.

Our hard work has paid off, and we have been selected to be part of Team Great Britain under 12’s Inline Puck Hockey Squad at the AAU Junior Olympics in Los Angeles in July this year. This is one of the few Worldwide Inline Puck Hockey Tournaments held on a yearly basis for junior players, and we will face teams from across the globe.

The Great Britain team is made up of players from all four of the home nations and brings together some of the best young players available. To be asked to represent your country at any age is an honour and something that all sports people strive for during their sporting lifetime.

We have to work really hard to juggle our love for sport and our school work. We always stay focused at school and hand our homework in on time.

We have a crowdfunding page setup as the cost of the trip is high and we are looking for sponsorship www.gofundme.com/taylor-twins-for-team-gb. The local paper is following our story, and we have opportunities for brand mentions on our kit and social media pages.

Thank you to Newland College and all the people that have supported us to get this far.
